    MJ,
Today was our Wednesday league ; we played low gross and stableford point system were the two games. For the first time ever I broke 70 I shot a 4 under 68 ( 6 birdes 2 bogeys 10 pars ) for a total of 46 stableford points and won both games, today was a fun day and paid ok as well!!!

    ALCON,
Had the chance to play the TPC stadium course yesterday!!!

The greens and fairways are in GREAT shape!!! They're preparing the course for the Players so of course a lot of GIR and the Pro tees were closed to play....

I wanted to try 16, 17, 18 from the pro tees but no luck that ok though the course still gave me a lashing...

3 things I learned and wanted to share and to see if anyone had insight or thoughts.

    1. You have to know what your OWN ball flight does and if you don’t you have no chance of knowing what to aim at; to start the ball so that you hit your target (FW) or (Green)... I honestly didn’t know where to start my ball so it doesn’t matter if you can hit it solid if you keep hitting it off line(IMO)

    2. Reading greens is something that needs to be worked on what the Caddy and I saw was CRAZY different.

    3. You can Practice all you want on the range, but you have to learn how to hit the ball on the course... i.e. uneven lies, tight lies, funny stance bunker shot, grass bunkers, sand bunkers and all the different sand textures. Golf is fun but really really challenging.

By the way shot 5 over with help of the caddy if I wouldnt have had him IMO would have been 9 or 10 over

    Jay,

Haven't been to LA since 2000. Last year we were in Monterey and San Francisco. I am on the brink of starting a large international campaign so hopefully I will hit that area as well. A large trip to Europe is in the cards for 2012 so I am very excited.

Traveling more Mike? It would be great if you came to NC, or even VA, or SC. I'd be there in a heartbeat. I'm going to try to get back to NY in late May, same as last year (LPGA tourney in NJ), but I'd really like to see you or Brian earlier than that. My swing is in disarray now so I can't wait to see one (or both) of you guys soon. I may go to the LPGA event in Alabama in April, then swing by New Orleans to see Brian. That would be quite the 1-2 punch for my golf game

Sounds good Tracy... keep us posted on your progress.

I would love to travel more but I do retain the traditional Head Golf Professional duties at a country club so it makes a lot of traveling difficult.
