Michael, question on the karate chop motion of the left hand in the swinging motion as described by Homer Kelley. The book describes centrifugal force created by swinging motion squaring the clubface. Here is my question: If the downswing is underplane, too in to out as noted in your recent path tip, how does that affect the karate chop movement of the left hand? Does not the left hand need to be on plane for the centrifugal force to square the face? I have been working on pitch elbow, and want to avoid swinging too much in to out. Thanks Michael.

If the path is too much inside to out you need to be careful that the left hand does not come in left palm down. A lot of golfers come in left palm down which makes them come in with the pinky side of their hand into the contact. I would not rely on natural forces alone to get the left hand back to palm neutral {normal to the plane}......... golfers who have too much inside out and a palm down left hand start to train themselves to have a palm down grip and a club face that is much less open than a standard procedure
