Sounds like you are getting a tid bit confused...
This shoulder motion article shows a flat trunk move as a rehearsal, when actually striking a ball on the ground a golfer adds left side bend to retain a golfing posture. All different swing patterns have different versions of how flat or steep the trunk moves and how much left side bend occurs....
So to sum it up, the rehearsal of standing up straight and making a flat trunk move is different from actual swings where the body has bend
