2009 is coming to a fast end, can't quite remember a year as fast as this one. Plagued with rain we kept it going here on Long Island. A record setting 40 days closed out by weather created quite a hassle with the ebb and flow of golfing here on Long Island.

Instruction went great as many new students passed through my golf school. A record setting 300 people attended my 'Welcome to Golf' Evening Classes..

2009 saw the release of the video "10 Things Every Golfer Should Know" co hosted by Brian Manzella and myself.

Enough reminiscing, looking ahead to 2010 with extreme excitement.

I will open the year with a January Explosive Golf Show live from Spain where I will be teaching some European Pros and top amateurs.

2010 will unfold 3 long term projects that I have been working on for years.

    1. The first is this website, it will be remodeled into more of a national website. The website will become FREEGOLFSHOW.COM and will have much more of a national flavor. So you will notice some things change over the next few months. New categories will appear as well as a much more organized version of the Explosive Golf Show. The show will be a consistent monthly show that will be nationalized and heavily promoted.

    2. The full golf equipment line will be released, the equipment company is called 'Explosive Golf Designs' and will feature:

    2 Driver Models
    Fairway Wood Line
    Hybrid Line
    3 Different Iron Set Models
    Wedges 50 Degs - 61 Degs
    3 Putter Models
    3 or 4 Shaft Designs

The club line will be attached to the new modeled site and will also have its own identity at xgolfclubs.com

I cannot tell you how excited I am about this line, myself and Chris Marcello created this club company and it is going to be a boutique of high quality clubs. The designs, metals, and materials we have selected for the equipment is superior to those used by pop equipment companies. More details will follow soon

    3. The third project that will come to fruition is the release of the new 'Explosive Golf" Secret of the Nuclear Swing Version #2. Version #2 will have some revolutionary new ideas and concepts and will feature a drills and practice techniques bonus section. It is geared for a summer release.

2010 will also have some guest instructors visit:

Putting Zone inventor Geoff Magnum will be here June 10th - 13th. I will be setting up the programs for those days by March and will start accepting reservations.

Brian Manzella will be making his yearly visit for a golf school and lessons

2010 sounds like the most exciting year to date

Happy Holidays to everyone and What the hell was Tiger thinking?

2 Feet of snow officially ended all golf endeavors for 2009. My front door had a 5 ft drift in front of it this morning. Looking forward to spring already and winter doesn't officially start until tomorrow

    Hi, Mike,

I'm glad to hear you will be teaching in Spain. You're overdue for an exotic trip. That sounds exciting.

I'm also glad to hear that you & Chris will get the golf club business going. Do you think your putters will compare to the top line putters, like the Scotty Cameron? Are you and Chris using your new putter design yourselves?

I'm starting to miss golf, but I'm enjoying winter.

Of course, I feel bad about Tiger's crash. Frankly, I'm surprised he went undiscovered as long as he did. But, I see him as a golfer, not a moral icon. Tiger should have stayed single and enjoyed his celebrity status. If he were single, there wouldn't even be a story. In fact, Tiger probably could have shattered Nicklaus' record a long time ago if he spent more time golfing. I feel sorry for him. Golf was his path to success and golf will be his road back. I think Tiger should start playing sooner rather than later.

    Maureen,

Good post about Tiger... I think getting married might have been a bit unrealistic for someone of his stature. It is amazing how this went on for so long and never leaked out sooner. We all watch him and admire him as a golfer, personal lives are no longer sacred. He should go on Oprah, cry and sob, and then tee it up right away and move to the next chapter in his life.

As for my golf club company.... Putters, Wedges, Irons, Woods, Hybrids, and our own shafts are all coming this season. I will have detailed explanations of how our equipment relates and compares to the 'pop' equipment manufacturers that golfers see and hear everyday. I can say this about the putters, we used a metal that is a higher grade than you see in a Scotty Cameron putter and our putter will be half the price. Goes to show, when you buy a 'pop' name you are paying a lot just for the name. I will have the whole equipment line mapped out and discussed in detail for everyone before the 2010 season starts.
