If you're doing it correctly, you should notice some change in ball flight. Assuming you're a slicer, proper twistaway should help you slice less. Of course, there are other things that are important, like a good pivot, etc.
If you're not sure how to do it at all, then that's Mike's domain![]()
I think the answer you are looking for is here.

Murph thanks but thats not the twistaway, Mike is saying that he teaches flat hand back and flat left wrist. The twistaway is a sort of counter clockwise under backswing. Mike I have brians video my lessons are with you.
You said the twistaway would be good for me and I just want to hear it from you so I could understand it better. OK?
Joe,
Lets keep it really simple for you.... lets focus in on the left hand
If you are wearing a watch on your left wrist - On the backswing move the backswing so that the watch points away from you so that you cannot see the time on the watch.
Another way of saying the same thing is the logo on your left hand glove - make a back stroke so that you cannot see the logo
Thats what I would deem a twist away... hope that helps

Now thats what I`m talking about how fn easy was that to understand. That move was sooooo easy to do. Most teachers know the same thing its the one that explains it so its understandable that will succeed in their teaching....you get a big star to put on your refridgerator. THANKS
