A student who wishes to remain anonymous sent me a message that I believe is important to share. This student spent a lot of time in Book Literalist world, morad land, and the stack tilt debacle:

    MJ,
So Im getting the 'release' thing. It has taken a while to get the body to slow down which I believe def screws up the downswing. But Im starting to feel the route the hands have to take in order for this to happen. Its more for me with the trail hand on the start down. I feel the trail arm straightening half way down. Club picks up serious speed and it feels like it weighs nothing (effortless power). I think this is what you were trying to get through to my thick skull.. The body def has to be moving correctly or you will get throwaway (obviously).

Here is my analysis of my swing in a nutshell:
My hips were sliding way to much which was dropping shoulder way under and down,(too much secondary tilt) then I was trying to release the club (lineitup) = fatshot/or thin . When I hit it well, I had to seriously rotate my body to match the tilt. Im really starting to grasp how little the body actually moves but it does have to move in the correct sequence.

    Grade my analysis A-F please.

Can I at least keep the little yellow book on the shelf for memories ?

Seems like a typical "release" success story. The majority of the ones I've heard really have a pretty common theme.

    Nice work.

Mike, in your recent experiences, do you find the golfers using these new ideas about the "release" are finding the golf swing more intuitive?

    MJ,
Sounds like my story ... I was a yellow book guy. Seeing my AI everyweek. Trying to do something. Now I have stopped trying and just trying to get the new release down.

It has helped a bunch I had started playing some really good golf for me; but lately I have hit a few bumbs in the scoring but I know the shots are there... I think its short game.... So I understand the story of the unmamed golfer. Thanks for sharing.
