I had a wonderful phone conversation this afternoon with steve haggerty. I asked if he felt that all things done today are just a "redo" of whats been done in the past.....he explained how different pros approach different people in different ways.....

Here is my point....(maybe only valid to me.)

1-...i believe i saw tom tomasello....do something in a australia video referring to "quiver"..

2-... Years ago i went to colonial at the dedication of the hogan statue..............ben crenshaw..spoke as did lanny wadkins.....i later saw ben on the driving range...showing another player...what i now know is the "pump"" drill....thats was about 18 years ago ..when the pro he showed to walked off range i asked about the drill......i asked him how to do it.....and also who showed it to ben..............he showed me...then said.."his teacher harvey penick

    3-brian manzella...(good teacher) calls something a "twistaway

i have read about the same move in joe dante's book..4 moves to better golf...referring to a wrist break at beginning of swing

with kindness and respect i ask.....are we taking what was always right and adding sprinkles......or....will the average golfer finally be able to break 100

    eck

When I started my career I knew I would never settle to be an ordinary pro.... my one and only goal was to keep at it until everyone says:

WHen will the average golfer break 80?

MAY ASK..but reality is its NOT going to happen.....

but its good that you will keep at it....i might suggest to be a bit more realistic i n your expectations.................

having said that......if you want to change the wording to.....all of YOUR students will ask....well then i will agree.......BUT mike....all instructors are NOT like you..

Thanks Eck... Looks like the storm is heading this way and going to knock us out for a little bit. Long Island is tough! We will be ok

I am your typical weekend hacker who just picked up the game last year. I play once a week and practice once or twice a week. I managed to break 100 a few times last year. I had one lesson in April with Mike and we worked on the material he is currently releasing. I am now consistently shooting in the low to mid 80s. No doubt that if I had another lesson, or even practiced more that I would have broken 80 by now.

The information is only helpful to those who embrace it.

I think this is also changing...

    slowly..

but it is changing for the better

because of Mike Jacobs and Brian Manzella.

Hats off to both of you for putting alot of your findings out to the golf world
and for sharing some of it with me!

I now know I can help people play better.

Button down the hatches and hang on Mike! We'll be thinking of you and all of those affected in the NY area.
