    Mike,

I've been working on the SBST putting stroke that we talked about. Are there any address setup changes that would assist me with this? Still feeling a little awkward.

    Tracy,

I wouldn't think of it as a straight back and straight through stroke... I would think of more as a 'very straight' few inches before and after the ball.

The club will rotate a few degrees during this interval as we saw on the SAM Putt Lab during your session... a couple of degree rotation will be negligible to your eye. YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO SEE IT!!

As for the full swing, there are a lot of folks searching out the root of a mystery flat spot or straight line travel of the club head. Doesn't exist! There is a very very very small amount of rotation still existing during the impact interval. You can't see it.. less than 1/2 a degree is invisible to the eye but enough to make the toe of the club of a driver go slightly faster than the heel. The club is coupled at the shaft and it experiences a moment of the center of the head seeking to line up with the shaft. It might be best to see the club head act as a free body down around the impact area along with approx 6 inches up the shaft.

Back to putting, everything should look very straight a few inches before and after - here are 3 set up tips to help:

    A binocular view aiming procedure

Grip up the palm positioned directly through the 2 bones of the forearm

Ball positioned off the front eye
