I will be making a Swing Analysis of Woman Tour Player and Flightscope owner Sandra Gal. Look for the swing analysis in this thread:

One of womens golf's brightest stars, Germany's Sandra Gal, purchased FlightScope's wireless X2 after experiencing it first hand at this year's Ricoh British Open played last month at Carnoustie, Scotland.

During the practice rounds FlightScope inventor, Henri Johnson, demonstrated the ease of setup and wireless use of the X2 with an IPad and explained how a tour caliber player can benefit from the many features and wealth of information the X2 provides. Sandra immediately saw the potential of the 3D Doppler tracking technology, and after a short introduction decided to try it out.

Her decision to purchase was made easy thanks to the accurate 3D measurement of her club delivery into the ball and the exact distances FlightScope provides. She has since used her FlightScope to improve the consistency of her club delivery and ball trajectory which ultimately led to more fairways and greens in regulation. FlightScope will keep track of her performance to ensure that she keeps on improving and realizing her full potential.

Germany’s Sandra Gal finished the season on a high note by tieing 2nd with Paula Creamer at the LPGA CME Group Titleholders event played at the Grand Cypress resort in Orlando, Florida. She was one of only four players with two sub 70 rounds; the others included world no.2, Suzann Pettersen.

Since purchasing the FlightScope a couple of months ago, Gal has been using FlightScope’s wireless X2 radar to sharpen her game and has seen a steady improvement in her performance. Using FlightScope in her practice sessions has benefited her greatly especially at distances within 100 yards of the flag.
Since its launch this year, the FlightScope X2 has been very popular amongst tour players and has seen a number of PGA and European tour players purchase the wireless radar for its accuracy, ease of use and portability with most players using only their phones or tablets to gather data. With FlightScope’s real time tracking of the ball, tour players can dial in their distances to the prevailing weather and course conditions to make the club selection process easier and more accurate during play.

    Solheim Cup
FlightScope proudly congratulates Sandra Gal on her selection to the European team and their victory against the USA in last week's Solheim Cup at Killeen Castle in Ireland.

Gal is one of the latest professionals to purchase FlightScope's flagship golf tracking radar, the wireless X2. There is no doubt that she has put it to immediate use, as her rooky selection to the European team and their victory clearly demonstrates.

With the smart phone integration and portability of the X2, Gal and touring professionals like her can travel with their FlightScopes to any event in the world and get accurate feedback on the club and ball trajectory data needed to adapt their swings and equipment to the changing conditions that they face on a daily basis. Having real time ball tracking from launch to landing is invaluable when trying to gauge distances and how one's ball flight will be influenced by outside factors on any given day.

    Hi Michael,

It would be great if you could include pictures from the Flightscope as well and explain the numbers.

My pro here in the UK just got his Flightscope and I bought the iPad app to record my swings but there isn't much documentation out there on how to interpret the data. E.g. How do you get the resultant path fro
The data Flightscope offers or is that actually already available.

    Thanks

I know Par, there isn't much out there. I am going to come out of the box and make an anthology on how to use the Flightscope. As soon as I get some weather and get set up for the season it is something that needs to be done. In the meantime, I am trying to get some screen grabs of one of her sessions.

I can take you through all of the Ipad screens if you would like? Would you like me to do some screen grabs and a voice over? I think it would be a good idea

One other point to note Par,

If you go into my homepage website Xgolfschool.com and click into the Lesson prices page and click on "learn more" about it icon on the side, you can check out a description of all of the Flightscope numbers.

That PDF is great! But I still don't quite understand what FlightScope is actually measuring/calculating.

The club path, is that the angle at the low point in the arc or is that at impact?
If it is at impact, wouldn't the club path be the same as the resultant path?

I think it all comes down to me not fully understanding the resultant path and how it relates to what a LM measures. I've seen bmanz video on D-Plane and resultant path but can't quite apply that to what I see on the flightscope.

    Thanks for explaining

Addition: I've just read through this thread http://www.nygolfworld.com/forum/f2/...il-share-1062/ and now I understand a lot more. The video on the thread is very good IMHO.

I think that would be a brilliant idea. I am sure that Video would get quite a few hits on YouTube given how little info there is on FlightScope

    PAR,

That is a good thread and a great PDF. I am going to put together an office video that covers a lot of Flightscope questions. I have so many being asked to me via email as well. Look for it here along with the Sandra Gal swing analysis
