As I am sure many of you have seen, my Explosive Golf Show about the Low point of the Hands and Impact has gotten some major viewing this past week. Most have been following it on my friend Brian Manzella's website and I have spent most of my time posting my thoughts and teachings there. There was a huge uproar in the golf instruction world as a result of what I have come up with and put out there.

For those that want to learn from these new concepts and findings, please stick to the original ideas and videos that I created. I just rewatched the 2 shows and they were VERY WELL STATED and I probably couldn't do them much better.

Part 3 will be coming out wednesday night and will be posted here.. look forward to comments and opinions from the gallery here

Can you imagine what my D PLANE and Simple Show is going to do.. I have some very new ideas in there

It's awesome info Mike, great findings. Hopefully this thread can remain civilized and not be derailed by people with nothing to offer but off color coments and isults to people just trying to get good information out to us golf nuts. You and Brian have an undeniable passion for the game, helping players, and helping other instructors and that's plain to see. I just don't get all the hating, it's such a waste of time.

I've been heading down this path VERY VERY SLOWLY since my lesson with the BManz last October focusing on improving my AoA (-12* 6 iron) and the developement of a little thread "Sergio Garcia & The Tumble", picking up nuggets from and you and a lot of other really smart people between my two favorite forums. I can't express how stoked I am about the recents developments. The coupling point , but the motion of the hands away from the target at the transition and closing the gap, lining it up. I always thought this kind of thinking was wrong! A few months ago I was getting some high speed video of my swing while trying to "close the gap" and saying to myself this can't be right, ball striking was just pure. How is it possible that I have way more lag when I'm trying as hard as I can to get rid of it. It didn't even look like me on the video. I wasn't convinced it was the right path to take, I just knew I would develope a flip so I abandoned it and reverted back to trying get my hands forward and really lean that shaft, you could plant potatoes in my divots.

Seriously Mike, these vidoes blew my mind. I had to stay away from the forums for a few days. I'm still like, what just happened?

    Keep up the good work!

    Neil,

I am glad you are enjoying, if you think this stuff is exciting and any good wait until you see the rest. For the past 18 months I quietly launched the biggest research and study campaign any little golf pro has ever endeavored. I can't wait to publish it all for everyone

It is so nice going back to the original material (the 2 videos), so clear and concise. Really looking forward to part 3. I can follow the info in the videos just fine. However, I can't follow everything in the "big" thread, and part of me is thankful.

I too am following all of this like a kid at Christmas. I am trying to keep going back to the videos to stay on track and not try to run ahead too fast, I don't believe that is prudent when all of the information has not been presented.

I'm not able or even willing to follow all the stuff on the big thread but I have to keep going to it, fascinating how much viewing it's getting. There is some minutiae in there as well as the bs comments that could be left unread but that's the bad with the good...and there is so much good!

Thanks Michael for all the work in this, I had hoped for a blockbuster from your research and am not being disappointed.

Plenty of questions down the line but will listen and absorb for now.

Hope Irene was kind to you! She was decent to us thankfully, nicer than to some of the rest of the area.

Any date for releasing installment # 3 or have plans changed? Maybe you addressed this somewhere else and I did not see it. The discussion so far has made an enormous difference in my game already (I took all my buddies' money last week!). I just want to keep learning from the videos!

    Michael,

I've been working with your latest show's concepts. Having mixed results. On Saturday, I got a feeling that as I started the downswing as you suggest, the club almost took over. The feeling was almost effortless, and contact was pure. It was a totally free wrist unhinge. It felt great, but is that what to strive for?

On Sunday, I couldn't reproduce the feeling. Few shots felt pure. It felt like my right shoulder was doing something to get in the way.

Also, I find your concept of the hands going up to square the club face is fantastic for little baby pitches over bunkers. I had a number of up and downs by just letting the hands go up to square it up. Normally, that's a very hard shot for me.

    Thanks!

    Hi Mike:
    Hope you are well.
Just before I was going to load all my sticks and donate them, I came across this thread and the "larger" one on BManz's site. All I can say is wow. And so now I'll be out to see you Sat AM with the Mrs. I have been struggling way too long with my ballstriking, so I am hoping I can throw away all my checklists and things to work on and training aids...but not my clubs.

    See you tomorrow.

    Best regards,
    Wayne
