MJ,
Thanks, two years back sometime I was on the phone the GM and he sent me the book via email ... I started reading it and completed it while on a six month cruise but I was on a warship so I didn’t get much time to work on it.
So at times I go back and refer to it also I emailed GM one day and he sent me some thoughts on putting to the high side with getting the right speed not long or short just the right speed to enter in the hole with the speed that would allow the putt to drop something like 2 or 3 revs. As he talked to me about that i sounded more frustrated with my putting and gave me some ideas. That seem to work but as the time has past i felt my actual stroke was the challenge not the understanding of what to do.
I try to get to the away courses and hit the core putts and just appreciate the speed as suggested but I miss way to many putts....
MJ when I work on it Some times I have been better at putts from 20 FT to 15 FT getting the close but not many makes. What I haven’t been able to figure out is my stroke my own signature natural stroke that will allow me to hole more putts...
Also I have missed more short putts then I use to and I haven’t figured it out.. So upsetting!!! With a better understanding I know I will get better

I notice a a lot of people with repeatable strokes can't or have problems reading the greens. these are 2 very different problems. I remember a tour player who got Lasik and totally destroyed his putting. His stroke stayed the same but he could read a newspaper but not a green anymore.
I recommend using a chalk liner to first check a straight put and then practice your stroke to see if it the line or the stroke before making wholesale changes.

TR,
Thanks brother actually when I do use a chalk line when some one leaves one on the putting green and I use it after them and I see my stroke I actually putt better when I visualize That straight putt....
I know I ask a bunch of stuff on the site .. I dont putt bad but I know it could be so much better. Thanks for the advice.

I am really anxious to try the "pistol grip." I gave it try on a small indoor green and it seems to provide a far more repeatable stroke. It will be interesting to see what the implications will be for speed control.
