    Ok,

heres my swing on video. Finally got the casio and used it today when at the practice range.

Wont blabber on for too long as its late here but just wanted to get something up and hope for some comments.

To me I can see I hang back alot, and it might be interesting to note that I was trying to put some whip into these swings! also DTL shows mu tush comes off the line and right hip interferes.

    Break Through!

I wasn't very impressed with the swings I posted above from last night, as I dont think they represent my actual swing well. Let me explain....

When I look at my practice swing without a ball or even feel it, I think that its spot on, if only I could take that to the ball, but for some reason, as soon as I see a solid ball in front of me, you see the swing in my first thread.

Well tonight I was desperate to do something to address the staying on the back foot, and the right hip crash in the downswing.

I went to the back garden a just swung the club, back and forth, again and again, just to fell the rhythm, the timing and the feeling. I remembered that as a present someone bought me some foam practice balls so I thought I would get them and see if i could translate the practice swing to an actual ball in front of me.

To my surprise, when I taped myself, the swing was identical to my practice swings and nothing like last nights videos above. I think that with a real solid ball in front of me, I panic and my brain defaults or short circuits an I react to this, rather than just swinging my practice swing. With this foam ball my brain said, its not a real ball, its only foam, dont worry you wont even feel it, just swing!

It is very frustrating as I know I am capable of better, but I need to get over this mental barrier if I am to improve!

Here is my latest swing caddie view, I can actually say that I am happy to share it as it is a representation of my natural swing, whether it
has flaws in it or not, whereas last nights just fell wrong.

Gary, post the 210 fps option from your Casio. The normal speed is very hard for the pros and damn near impossible for us amateurs to make any suggestions. I know that "Real Men Don't Read the Directions," but this is golf, so you have our permission to violate that Bro Rule.

Second, as you have found, your swing with a ball and w/out a ball or with a whiffle/foam ball are different. However, the swing with the ball IS the important one. Hell, I have even noticed (courtesy of a video cam on the 1st tee of a course I play at, is that your swing on the range may vary from your swing on the course.

Or 240 fps.. Only because there's no 210 fps option on my Casio

And it doesn't count unless there is a real golf ball there!

OK so I thought I would be daring and put up a 1000fps.

The quality itself isn't good I know, however you can see the club head move through the arc without distortion:

also a down the line normal speed:

Anything that sticks out the experienced eye, I wanna know lol

    Thanks for your input

    Gary,
You have a lot of really good stuff going on. What kind of problems are you experiencing? fat or thin, hook or slice, high or low?
this information would be very helpful.
I have to say that I don't really think that swing needs any advice from an internet forum, but Hey, Nice knickers!

I am curious about one thing though and it could just be camera angle but it seems that you are kind of flat or deep at the top. Do you experience any hooks or push's?

    Tricky,

I am really just looking for a consistent method that makes the most of my speed.

My bad shots from bad to worse are:

High and right with Irons / Driver
    The odd pull hook (low)
thin shots alot more often than fat
impact with driver is normally from the centre to the HEEL, not toe.
Tendency to become very flat with the backswing.
Staying on my back foot into the finish, I think caused by a little "humping the goat" which is why I do that right foot drag.

Also I think my hands get deep (away from target line in backswing) and flat. Deep hands is ok I think (allows an inside path) but mixed with flat is probably a consistency killer.

Im just looking to get a trained eye to pick anything up they can that un their experience is 'wrong'.
