I am debating the following scenarios:

1) Take a two hour general lesson mid April, wait until I get to play a few weeks and get my swing down before I go for the full day or

2) Take the full day right away and hope I remember it all, and if necessary then take the two hour refresher course.

Great question, I always leave the decision up to the student but it always best to see someone as much as possible. 2 hour sessions are great and the full days are ideal, I think I would choose option 1
