No white driver yet. I did demo a Titleist 910 D2 Sunday. Best driver I've hit in a lond time. I'm going to try to set up a lesson for next week. I'll bring the Eye2's along.

    RA,

The sets of Ping Eye refurbished to new run about $500-$700 with the KBS shafts, I had 3 sets and 2 of the other pros here just bought a set each so I only have 1 set left. They are a red dot set, kbs stiff, 3-pw, beryllium.. just let me know if you still want to see some pictures and Ill have them emailed to you. I am trying to get my hands on some more sets and have them refurbished. Refurbished Ping Eye's can be a great business

    RA,

You like the CG 16's? I just joined the Srixon Ball Staff for 2011 and they being the same company as Cleveland have a demo day here soon. I will have to check them out, what did you find to be the best thing about them? Are you going to get a set, if anyone wants to place an order through me they are welcome to as I own the golf shop and can get the best deal for anyone who is a website member

    MJ,
Thanks for the offer, They quoted me $88.00 bucks a club at the Navy base and $113.00 a wedge and $275.00 for the driver..

The balls are great larger core and less spin off the driver using a trackman always have played the PRO V1 but this ball seems to feel better and play better for me tested on the course and on Trackman, off the irons they have a higher spin and launch but didn’t balloon on me ou6tside test and in the golf round. Played 3 rounds so far with this ball... The short game it had more release in my opinion not as much stop... seems as if... I tried a bunch of different shots.... Mid sole pitch ... Punch....FATS chips and pitches... and throwaway pitches... and circle path shots seem to release a bunch.... my buddy would let me take his track man over to the short game area as he was using it. Can’t fault him all that much as he has to pay for the thing to...:.... I have been using it so much when I can and only paying a friends price compare to others so I can’t be mad.....

Now as far as the irons... The launch conditions were ideal for me... I was having problems getting my INT Launch angles high enough without using whippy shafts which only put tons of spin on the ball and they're way to long (extended by my buddy almost 2 in) but that’s the only thing I know to do to help me play these longer course and be competitive... ....

So now the CG 16 have beefed up lofts but still play like the number club stamped on the bottom through the design ... (trajectory that is) VCOG is deep and back with the cavity back but at address you can’t see it which I like and the metal is soft so I get the forged club head feel I love from having forged clubs for the past 6 years.... Now the shafts play softer but the pattern dispersion was 1.7 yards left and right of the target for me with these clubs.....

See I’m always fit into a DG S300 hard stepped or a KBS tour Stiff or a Project x 6.0 ... but when i use these clubs I can’t get the launch conditions I need... As I was taught early when i started to play by my AI ... CHIP, PITCH, PUNCH with a HITTERS pattern AXE handle Right arm thrust ... " low shots” my pivot has been a work in progress and faulty ... So it has been a work in progress to take my game to another level i have to hit a higher flight ball flight. Which these clubs have shown on the TM that they provide... I still can turn them both ways not as much but with D plane knowledge it’s easier anyway than what I previous thought (hinge action) which now I know doesn’t really happen as much as I thought... So I think these are the clubs but I have one more set to test the TM Burner 2.0 I will do that this Saturday at the demo show at the WGV....

I have been saving this dough to make the best choice this time as I didn’t do any home work last time i made a iron purchase just went on looks and style ...( That’s what the OEM's want and they got me) This time I have hit over 9 different sets on the TM and with the knowledge I have from the site and you and Bmanz and all the posters on the site I will do a better job getting the right combo as feel is a big part of it ... but at a fitting session they feel great but under pressure of a 210 yard Par 3 shot over water and you have to hit it high to stop the ball and you have a quick tempo with a lot of torque on the transition with a short swing pattern ... they feel like... well something different.... I think we should all get fit while playing on the course to really feel the club ... with what I call your Sunday swing when you’re playing for $ 20 bucks and the guys are busting your chops....

So far MJ this set feels great and the numbers support what i am looking for ...

    MJ,
I hit a set that my pastor had today standard Black dot... the head is solid very easy to hit in the air... they where a bit to upright for my liking I would probably need my lies' flatter but like you said ..Solid solid solid clubhead.... Had a ping KT or KV shaft im not sure but really good club head.... But I think the CG-16's are as solid but iIhave a session to try the Burner 2.0 irons...

Thanks for all the advice... i will let you know what i figure out ... This reasearch stuff is super fun ( like you said trial and error with balls and shafts and clubheads with the aid of TM and/or FS )
