Anyone have an indoor putting green they would recommend? There are a lot on the market, but I'm reluctant to buy something over the internet without the chance to try it out. I need something to feed my golf jones over the winter. Thanks.

Bob,
Check out Texas Greens by Design. He does custom jobs all over the country. I have a 7ft green that is compact and can fit in any corner. Also can change hole to slope each direction. Has a couple other attachments such as a string that sits above the putter and runs the length of the green down the middle. Anyways I think I still may have an attachment or you can just go online to his website. I know he use to sell to Golfsmith and some other retail stores as well.

What helped me most with improving my putting was to set up a putting matt with a gate 3-4 feet from your ball. For that I glued a cheap putting matt on a 3 mm MDF board and screwed two angle brackets to it so that they are the width of the ball plus 1 cm on each site (see attached image)
That way you can really practise whether you are hitting the ball on the intended line. If it hits the gate it might have dropped on a 5 to 6 footer but never on a 10ft etc. Just place a pillow or something soft after the gate and you can hit putts at different strength.
Just make sure that everything is level (the MDF board helps with that).
Cool idea Parhunter....
Thanks for sharing that... I made the picture bigger in your post

Thanks for the suggestions. As of now, I'm leaning toward a Tour Links green. Good reviews on the net.
Golf Putting Greens, putting training aids, miniature golf greens, Indoor/Outdoor Tour Links portable backyard home putting greens with artificial, synthetic turf, and modular interlocking panels.
Thanks JD. I'm hoping my kids (9 and 12) would get some use out of it. They look pretty nice.
