    MJ,
Whats the best way to use the slow mo HD camera to improve the golf swing ? How to set up the camera to max out the use? Whats the key things to look for while watching the slow-mo video?

    RA,

These are all the secrets of my teaching !

Here are some basic things to look for:

Camera face on - at a right angle to the 'swing direction'

Down the line view - camera on ball line

Front view - hand & wrist conditions ~ Kinematic Seqeunce

Down the line view - path ~ hand & wrist conditions ~ club face ~ vertical swing plane angle ~ Ball start direction

The good news is that Flightscope 3D doppler radar measures all movements of ball & club so I will now use video just for body movements. Remember 2D video has its limits, conventional video provides length and width but not depth as depth is the 3rd dimension. I heard Sony is coming out with the 1st 3D Tv in May... I have already made inquiries and started the process rolling of making the Secret of the Nuclear Swing part 2 the 1st ever golf video in 3D. Not sure if it is possible yet, but I have had some meetings on it.

    Michael,

Great timing on this question. I just got my Casio Ex-FS10 last night and will be using it Friday when I'm off work working on my backswing. I figured that at the 210 fps mode with 480 x 360 display size would be good for full body swings. Later I want to use the 420 fps (224 x 168) or 1000 fps (224 x 64) to focus in on just the hands through impact.

I'm amazed at how small the camera is, it's barely just a little bigger than a credit card and about a half inch thick. It will look funny on top of my tripod. For about $135 this camera looks like it will be really nice. I can't wait to take it to Hawaii in October.

    Jim,

When you switch to 420 fps lighting becomes a big issue... you need very bright lighting the more you try to slow the frames down. On a nice bright sunny day, I bump it up to 420 but on cloudy days I stay at 210

Hawaii? Nice, been there once - loved it!

    Michael,

Thanks for the tip. I will see if I can get one of those cardboard things that movies use to reflect more light on an area. I would think that the shiny side of a windshield protector might work.

A golf buddy of mine and his wife has a timeshare in Hawaii and they go each year so I coincided a trip last April and he and I played Kapalua Plantation course, Wailea Gold and Kaanapali Royal where they had Big Break. It was fun. This October it looks like Kapalua again and Makena and one to be named later.

    RA,

I gave your swings a good look.. do you have the sensation of a lack of control of arms and club up near the finish of the swing? I would recommend a standard swivel and a finish where your left elbow, left shoulder, and neck line up... review the Spain Explosive Golf Show...

I think that would be a good start as some simple upgrades
