I asked this question on another site and I think is was to hard for them to answer so I figured I would come here were most are regular golfers trying to learn. On most site books tv etc. they never tell how to or what do you use to putt with . They say move club back and through or one two etc, never mentioned is what takes the club back, your hands, shoulders, hips, etc. So what do you use to take the putter back and through...By the way I have the yips.....joe

I pretty much putt with my shoulders. Once you've gripped the putter you've formed a triangle with the base being your shoulders and the point being your hands. I just rock my shoulders back and forth to swing the putter. In reality the putter swing is a softer stroke, it's not stiff and mechanical. As you swing the putter it will travel along a gentle arc, it goes inside a little going back and inside a little going forward of the ball.

Many people have their own way of putting, it's a very individual thing. The main thing is to have a free, uninhibited stroke.

This is my way of putting.
