    Hi Mike,

I am consistently hitting my driver too high on the face.

Would this be indicative of too steep of an angle of attack?
How would I shallow it out? Typically I tee my ball with 1/2 a ball above my driver.
    Thanks.

    Jayro,

High on the face indicates a steep attack or a dynamically closed down club face near contact. What is the ball flight when you strike high on the face.

I would make sure the club is lying flat on its back end so the dynamic loft is more desirable and lower the head of the club on the downswing relative to the ground. Feel like the HEAD of the club is coming down on a 10 degree lower angle on into contact.
    Tee height shouldn't matter

I'm actually driving the ball pretty straight with a low trajectory. Hands too far forward maybe?

    Jeff,

    What is happening distance wise?

    Type of driver head?

    Shaft?

Mike, Definitely lose a good 20+ yards in distance.
I'd love to blame the club, but, I have enough club head, shaft combinations to start my own pro shop, and I do it with all of them.

    Start your own pro shop

I would definitely start by #1 taking some film so I can accurate assist you

Next I would take a good hard look at what is called your Vertical Swing Plane Angle or and of the club head relative to the ground. If it comes in on too high an angle high face strikes are the norm.

So many factors go into this however, the direction of your trunk vs pelvis - side bend - etc.. Film would be your quickest route to help here
