    was a penny! Sounds about right that the average set of irons is still around 300 times a loaf of bread

    One of the times I was staying at Ben Doyle's house, in his garage he has his first advertisement for golf lessons. He has been teaching for 55 years, so this sign was from the early fifties I presume...

    Now he charges $100
