    Hey Mike:

I have a couple of questions about the d-plane calculator.

Before I ask them, I was wondering if you could first please
    define the following terms.
    "HSP/AIM for CP=0"

Also, is the "AIM/SWING ADJUSTMENT" calculated in yards or degrees?

    Thanks
    Ed

    Ed,

HSP/AIM for CP = AIM ....is in degrees and negative is left, positive right

    AIM/SWING adjustment is in yards

    hope this helps

    Thanks Mike and Matt:

    In the D-Plane calculator:
If I follow the formula correctly,

    (1) VPE = TAN((90-VSP)*3.14/180)

    TAN is Tangent
    90 is 90 degrees
    3.14 is Pi, and
    180 is 180 degrees

    (2) HSP = AoA * VPE

    (3) Aim/Swing Adjustment is calculated as follows:

    ((Length of Shot / 100)) * 1.75) * (HSP)

    My questions are:
First, what does the 1.75 represent,
Second, how does this formula convert into yards?

    (Length of Shot / 100)
the 100 is to move the decimal place two to the right,
    for example:

    150 yard shot is 1.50
    233 yard shot is 2.33

I can understand how the HSP comes into the equation
but I am unsure about the 1.75

    Thanks
    Ed

    P.S. A recommendation:
the way the calculator is set it does not round the Aim/Swing adjustment.
It may be useful to have it round as fractions (halfs) to the nearest half,
that is 5 ½ would be 5 and a half yards, etc
    as opposed to 5.46520323

    Hey Mike:

At the anti summit today, I was able to ask Fredrik Tuxen about the formula.

    Aim/Swing Adjustment calculated by
    ((length of shot / 100) * 1.75) * (HSP)

He told me that the part I had a question about is used to convert degrees to radians, that is:

    pi / 180 = 0.0175
    which is equal to 1.75 / 100

    Indeed, the formula simplified:
    (Length of Shot) * (0.0175) * (HSP)

Tuxen added that the formula could apply to either yards or meters.

    Thanks,
    Ed
