I worked on the nuclear swing technique yesterday. The ball seemed to fly straighter, but I couldn't get any compression. Shots that felt solid didn't go as far as normal. Any thoughts?
Hey Jay,
Great question, if you peek back at earlier years in the forum we had some long discussions about the history of the videos. The Nuclear Swing video was originally supposed to be a small take home video for those that attended my golf school. I had a free day and hired a friend to shoot the video as a little review of concepts for a beginner golfer. Never intended to have it morph into one of the most viewed golf videos of all time. It always ranks in the top 5 on Netflix and Best Buy sold through their entire lot which is very rare for sports video. A student who came to my school was a video distributor loved it and put it into this mega video. I would have done it differently had I known it was going to be viewed by so many but I must say even though it is a very basic wallop it with your pivot video it has helped so many golfers around the globe. Every time I make a new version of it, which I have done several times I change my mind as I get literally hundreds of emails a year on how the video has helped a golfer. So I have never released a revised version, so instead I made 2 other videos Volume #3 Light Speed and Grip and Wrist Action to supplement the video and cover other areas of interest for golfer's of different levels.
The intention was to add on information and not contradict, it would be up to the golfer to pick and choose what areas to study with of course my live instruction and shows and tips being support for the content. There are all different release styles and never would we say one is better than another just different swing patterns.
The 10 Things Every Golfer Should Know is a great one that pretty much ties together the best 10 ideas for a golfer. So many golfers use the Nuclear Swing pattern and love it, I recommend watching everything and picking and choosing what is best for you.
These videos will always be background information films to familiarize golfers with a lineage of instructional ideas that continually morph into bigger and better things. Modern technology and new ideas are always the key to the future!
