I am about to buy the Casio FH100 camera. I'd appreciate advice as to what accessories I really need and which ones are not necessary.

For example, how many gigabytes do I need on the memory card? What class do I need? What do I get by buying a 16 gig card, rather than an 8 gig card? What does a class 10 card do for me, as opposed to a class 6 card?

What kind of batteries should I get?

Are there different types of memory card readers? If so, what do I need?

Basically, I'd like to be able to record my swing for as long a duration as possible. I'm assuming that I won't be able to film a one hour lesson, but how long can I expect to record?

I've never even owned a digital camera, so please excuse my ignorance. Previously I've used a Panasonic GS-80 mini-DV camcorder.

Are there other things I should know that I'm not asking? If it matters, I will be loading the footage onto a Mac.

    Thank you very much.

8 gig card is fine, as for the class rate a class 10 will write the video to the memory card faster than a class 6. Get one that is a class 6 or higher. You do not need to get a memory card reader because that camera comes with a cord that you can plug into usb drive of your computer to download the video. Make sure you trim your saved clips on the camera before you transfer them. It is a great camera that I use everyday and I have not had any problems with it. I would buy a second battery so you have a backup

I went to B&H Photo in New York City the other day, it is the largest electronics shop in New York. I spent some time with one of their experts looking at all different kinds of High Speed cameras. I went there to buy something special, pocket and ended up leaving with a nice new fancy tripod for my old Casio!

Casio's are fantastic, I would always have an extra battery and an extra memory card in my golf bag 'just in case'

Last thing you want to do is go the range, buy a bucket of balls, and need an accessory! Let's us know how it works out for you!
