    Thanks,
I will work on it I have really been working hard on just what you said; I see great results at times and then i get that one o two shots that just blows the round up. I will work on it. When i try to hit up on the driver more I tend to drop kick the ball and hit the ground before the ball at times.
    Thanks

Its the +6 HSP that allows that drop kick shot when you try to hit up more. You will eliminate the drop kick if you swing less to the right --- move that HSP to match how many degrees you are hitting up. So if you are hitting 3 degrees up, have the HSP at +3 and the drop kick will be gone

After Bmanz and you guys info I know this is your site just wanted you to know how much info you share with me thats helped me a bunch, you help make sense of the swing.

Excuse me for jumping in here, but IMHO something does not add up. I have been on a couple of launch monitors, albeit not a Trackman, but I have a 45" Launcher, swing at about an average of 110, but have an "80% shot" that I use for accuracy that averages 104 with a launch of 13* and my ball averages almost 270 with roll. This is generally confirmed by what I find on the course with GPS numbers. I generally play a TP Black or ProV-1 depending upon the hole, but don't notice much difference, if any, in the distance, but the Pro-V does spin better. You should be getting more than 240 with that SS and AofA. What were your ball speed numbers?

    Phana24JG,

Welcome and glad to see you join the conversation, I think RA was saying he was getting 240 yards before he made some changes..... although, based on the numbers and the description of his flight before instruction sounds like center face contact was an issue. Center face contact provides a large portion of the distance. Glad to see you have verified the launch monitor numbers by using GPS... the problem with just about all monitors except the trackman is that there are a lot of formulas built in where the system does calculations and doesn't measure the parameter. Before using a monitor always ask what calculations are being made and what is being measured. Trackman for instance, does use a formula for measuring the face angle but the flight of ball and club head is measured with outstanding technology, hence the $30,000 price tag plus $3,000 per year for support

Thanks for the welcome, and I can personally attest to the drawbacks of conventional monitors. I dropped over 2K on some Wishon clubs by a very good fitter but the monitor numbers never appeared on the practice range.

That much $ for Wishon clubs? Which iron model did you get, 560 MC? I sold a lot of Wishon sets over the past 2 years, I am closing up my account obviously as I am putting out my own club line. Paul Wood, probably the most knowledgeable club person in golf today gave a detailed description of ball flight monitors and aside from Trackman the rest of them to date are not recommended.

I am well aware of Trackman and it's superiority. I belong to BManz's website. However, a little birdie told me I was getting a gift cert for your lessons for Christmas, so I decided to check out your forum. See ya in April.

Tell me about it, we got 7" up here today. Been playing about 6 years, worked with an excellent part-time range instructor, moved from hacker to competent (10 index) in about 4 years. Moved down to about 6 , but began to plateau. In retrospect, there were two problems, first, lack of short game practice/instruction, and second, I think that instructor took as far as he could. I began a search for another instructor in the Capital Region with little success. The local "great teachers" were either guys I did not connect with (copped an attitude when I asked too many questions), had me doing things that produced no results (rotating/pronating forearms), or insisted I follow a pattern to a "t," this time with negative results.

I stumbled upon a TGM forum, where they were ragging on Brian Manzella as an "arrogant American" or something like that. I had to check out this guy, and liked not only his approach, but the frequent contributors as well. I asked for a reccommendation and your name and John Graham. I think that is where my daughter got your name (the source of the gift via my wife), since I sent my son-in-law a link to BManz site.

Anyway, I went to see John simply because it is a much quicker drive, and was very impressed. In seventy-five minutes (and several practice sessions) I made more progress in 2 weeks than I had in 2 years. I had become a flipper, and as it began to disappear, some of the old distance began to return, but more importantly, my short irons got crisper, and my pitches Since BManz insisted I see you, and I found a lot of your videos and discussions to be very impressive, I believe there is no such thing as too much good instruction.

I cannot give you too much detail about my swing since my Trackman experience is limited to one very short session at Novogolf (the closest unit to me). The short version is at best last year drive 260-275, path reasonably consistent, but face issues cause some dispersion issues, decent mid- and short irons, good pitch and chip game, marginal putter on a good day, with poor reading skills, but planning on learning Aimpoint. I will have some good data before I come down.
