Just returned -- Great seminar, Brian Manzella did a great job as his enthusiasm was endless. On day one, he spoke for 11 hours and on day 2 gave one of the best 6 hours I have ever seen at a seminar type event. Great job and I recommend the next seminar to anyone who is a serious golf student or teacher

was it all classroom, or was there actual hands on demonstration?
As the king of A.D.D. I would have to shoot myself after 11 hours in a class room.
do you have any video?
is Brian going to take this show on the road?
Are you going to start your own GTE classes?
is this too many questions?

I'll let Michael answer most of those questions but just to chime in, there was no boredom of classroom theory work. Even the time inside kept us on our toes. We bounced back and forth from classroom to using the Trackman outside to lunch to live teaching by Brian Manzella where he gave some lessons to some golfers that were selected. These were given in a way that the group sat and watched and listened to the process but then Brian would send the student away or whisper to us what he was trying to do and that was great information on the process.

I could watch Brian or Michael do that all day everday and learn something every time. See theory is theory but each student has their own dynamic and from someone who gives a lot if lessons to different people, I know how different each one is and how the approach needs to vary slightly to see success.

I definitely think Mike could do these type of seminars and may have already. The goal is for Mike and Brian to produce better teachers and I know I
getting better being around both of them.

Steve,
Thanks for the info, I am not a teacher just a single digit in search of the holy grail. I have been to quite a few golf education seminars, some really good and some really bad, I once spent 5 hours with a MORAD guy and wanted to commit suicide 10 minutes in, all classroom, no demonstration.(I still have the 23 pages of notes that I don't remotely understand) It sounds as if Brian's was just the kind I would enjoy.
thanks again for the info.

Ric,

I think your A.D.D would have hung in there, no video was taken at all as it was committed to memory and notes just for those who attended. Brian will be taking the show on the road, I am going to strongly suggest he does it here in NY as the room in Lake Presidential was filled to capacity with only 30 people and the nearby hotel wasn't exactly the Waldorf. I used to host a Golfing Machine 3 day class where the whole book was read, I used to send Sally Kelley 10% of the gross revenue to help her out. As with the new ownership, this is no longer allowed. I then did a Science of The Swing seminar for the local section but nothing since. I will continue to work hand and hand with Brian to make this bigger and better

If you missed the first GTE Summit don't miss the next one. This is very cutting edge information that was clearly presented both inside and outside to a group that was worldwide. I will find a different hotel next year. The food was great at the club and it was a First Class Facility and next year I will plan on playing the course. Good seeing you Michael and thanks for your input.

Always great to see you Leo, glad you enjoyed the GTE. It was a really nice looking golf course, if they do end up having it there again I will join you for a round of golf

Michael:
This is a great job that you and Brian do with the GTE conference. From what I gather it is to help instructors teach better,etc.. Hopefully someone from my area went there and learned something. Do you know if anyone from St. Louis attended?
Thanks
