    Michael:
I have a problem with getting the club going around me a bit on the backswing and not enough 'up'. I've watched your video on blending the two and it's helping a bit, but when I blend the two, I think my tendency is then to sway a bit to the right and then the up doesn't happen as well as i'd like. Any suggestions? Also, would standing a little bit closer to the ball be of some benefit? Seems when i do so, it does make it easier to get the club more up.
    Thanks

Great question and I think a lot of people in the crowd could use some help in this area. What makes the blending so difficult is that the golfer is leaning over and swinging the club on an inclined angle. The angle in which the club swings on is changing during the swing but then becomes quite stabilized in the latter stages of the downswing as the load on the club becomes greater.

When it comes to blending the backswing pivot and arms better, I always recommend the Explosive Golf Table Top Drills...
Just so happened we now have a Video Tip introducing the Table Top idea...

I am placing the tip in the 2011 Shows and Videos section
