    Hi, Michael:

Is it in any way useful to think of the swing as swiveling to the top of the backswing and then swiveling down and through to the finish? With the pivot, of course. I am working on the advice you gave me during the lessons, and am trying to find ways of dealing with my complete lack of club face awareness.

    Bill,

Great to hear from you! Learning to become more aware of the clubface when you have completely dismissed it can be difficulut. When you say swiveling on the way back do you mean turning the left hand palm down intentionally? This can be done and is quite common. I covered this topic in Video Tip #10. I would definitley watch that tip again which is in the video tip archives section of the site. I cover in that tip this exact question. So review that tip and report back.

PS - I will send you the small club that I owe you... all my classes are over for the year. I'll send it in the morning

    Hi, Michael:

I don't mean "palm down" but more left palm on the angle of my back swing, which I attempt to make reach the "pane of glass" at the top. I am trying to keep my palms closer to perpendicular to the ground if that makes any sense. I want to avoid what you pointed out, which is that I was coming in so under plane that I was hitting the ball with the back of the face. I will look at #10 and get back. I appreciate your sending me the little club. That will keep the furniture from heavy scars in my sun room.

    Thanks

    Michael:

Video tip #10 is the answer. I need to consciously swivel back and consciously ensure that my hand returns to palm neutral impact and to palm on plane past impact. I need to do it consciously because I never paid attention to my hands except to try and get a bent right and flat left wrist at the top. Thanks! Will continue training my hands the Explosive Golf way.
