From 190 yds in I am playing the best golf of my life. However, full shots, especially the driver are killing me. I will blast three beautiful drives and then snap hook one into oblivion, or I begin the day with three snap hooks and am +5 after four crummy holes. When I weaken my grip to avoid the hook, I can push or pull-hook it, which is even worse because then I have no clue where to aim. Saturday I played a fairly difficult course, par 73, rating 71 from the blues. I shot 74 with one OB and three chip-outs from trees and/fairway bunker lips. Sunday on the pitch and putt muny course rated at 66.5 I managed 73 with two OB/lost off the tee and five other drives played from places that may not have been visited in decades. I tried the 3-wood, but that was worse. Monday league night was more of the same, scored great but only because the golf gods returned two wayward drives (hook and pull) from the trees to the rough. I was two under for the last five holes without once visiting the fairway.
The driver was properly fit and has been on the FS under lesson conditions, so it is not the arrow, it's the Indian.
