Bout F***in time!
JK and well done Mike.
Very nice. I've been overly fascinated with this subject as a whole for a while now.
Questions:
Getting the left arm more verticle on the way to and through impact, what does it take?
Beautifull golf course BTW, looks awesome!
I seem to have more of an outward hand path, toward the ball. Just interested in why.
These two post that I wrote in another thread (New Pro Contributor) with Steve Haggerty.
You said "I'm not sure what you mean with your swing topic". You touch on what I was referring to, "The Tumble". To control the grip end of the club in a manner that exposes the sweet spot to the ball with out the need to twist the shaft about itself like would be necessary if your hand path was more horizontal as opposed to verticle (left arm) from a DTL view in the downswing.
P.S. How many post do I need for you to let me embed video??? I'll behave, promise!
You know, this is my 100th post.....

Ok,
lots of interesting stuff in there now for the questions:
what are the swing keys or triggers one should be looking for or trying to feel to effectively preform this move?
I am picturing the reverse pivot throw away move that jams the clubhead a foot behind the ball. would a wide right arm throughout the swing be a good thought?
could you make a video of you preforming this move in regular speed and slow motion describing the movements?
more questions to come.

The truth has no agenda
I cant help but think that all the great players do this without even being aware of it.... completely innate and natural.
Great Video, lots of very interesting observations
So you want people to consciously uncock this left wrist before impact to square up the clubhead? And this wont promote throwaway or a flip? Will the clubhead not pass the hands too early? All world class players do this? Im sure you've researched this heavily and if you are right this will be massive so good luck Michael.

It's more about the proper amount of forward lean with minimal AoA, closer to tour average.
At no point did he mention that the club head should pass the hands prior to impact. Hips, hands, then club will always be a key fundamental in all high caliber golf swings.
Think about the motion required that would allow the hands to raise while the club head approaches it's low point along with still maintaining those key fundamentals.
Neil
I know we have discussed this before but will you lose distance by lining up the club early?
All great questions... I will leave it open for another day or so for anyone else to ask a question and then make a video response to all of these questions along with a swing analysis of top players doing just what was described in the video and how you the golfer can analyze the club's Line-Up
Any other questions out there????

Great video Mike, since the club moves upwards at impact, how do you decrease the tendcy to pull the ball as you pivit. Do you just try to hit it more from the inside? and what is the feeling you get after impact
Eugene,
I think you misinterpreted, I was taking about the movement of handle. The handle reaches it's lowest point before the club head reaches its own lowest point. The club head is moving downward on an impact off the ground and is striking upwards when it hits a driver.
So when the club head is moving up into an impact {the driver} then yes a swing direction to the right to offset the UP
When the club head is moving downward the swing direction needs to be to the left to offset the DOWN
I am going to put up tons of samples, the purpose of the show was to open everyone's eyes to the fact that the hands and the club head move on different circles and have separate low points.
Don't confuse it
