I drilled some holes in a 2/4 at various angles and then was able to stick golf shafts in these holes. This works well when you are hitting off of mats and can't stick the shafts into the turf. Drill enough holes so you have flat and steep covered based on you or students needs.

Btw Michael great video and I am also intrigued with the apparatus as it appears it has a lot of functionality.
