Spine Angle/Swing Plane -

Thank you for the video on this topic. I'm trying to get the information correctly into my semi-impermeable coconut!
1. The "carry" in the downswing causes the shaft to come in steeply.
2. To accomodate the steep shaft, I have to come up out of my posture on the downswing.
3. Assuming I don't have a plane device like the one in the video, the best way to shallow out the downswing would be to practice swinging under a shaft stuck in the ground on my plane line.
Are those ideas correct?
In the winter I practice frequently indoors off mats....can't stick a shaft in the ground. Any other ideas on shallowing out the swing?
Thanks for your help.
